A Summer of Growth, Creativity, and Connection

This August, Ottawa Dance Centre School hosted its 2025 Summer Intensive Interlude. A three-week program dedicated to artistic development, technical refinement, and creative exploration. The program was held at L’Académie de Danse de l’Outaouais and brought together passionate dancers from across the Ottawa/Gatineau region, as well as one international participant joining us all the way from England, UK.

Throughout the intensive, students immersed themselves in daily classes in ballet, contemporary, and choreography, guided by an exceptional faculty of teachers: Artistic Director Rebecca Middleton, Emily Rudenberg, Zurine Lacoste, and André Laprise. Each week built upon the last, encouraging dancers to push their technical boundaries while deepening their artistry and confidence as performers. The program concluded with a successful in-studio performance, showcasing original choreography and excerpts developed throughout the intensive. Family and friends gathered to celebrate the dancers’ achievements and witness the inspiring results of their hard work and dedication.

Interlude 2025 was not only a time of growth but also a celebration of community, creativity, and the shared love of dance. We’re already looking forward to seeing where these talented dancers take their artistry next summer and beyond.
